Surf fishing (Santa Monica Bay)

February 26th, 2007 by TommyTuna | Filed under General.

[inspic=110,left,fullscreen,thumb]Surf fishing was GREAT today. (my catch) Found the big Perch… 8 perch @ 14″ / 2 perch @ 15 1/4″ / Corvina’s are still around, Yellow fin crokers, Large shovel nose sand sharks (first time this year) The secret spot location…..Just past Gladstone Resturant on Pacific Coast Hwy going west at the first  pedestrian overpass you see and your there… The hot bait was ghost shrimp and Lug worms. Didn’t have anchovies, mussels, nor plastics….. there were 5 of us fishing and all of us had limits of perch…

You should come up to Vail and hit some of our streams here. It might be right up your alley. Pick out your events with VailPM Events. That’ll help plan your fishing trip.

Gotta love the surf fishing. Thanks for the bait ideas, I will have to use them.

Fishfinders may help you get more fish as well.
